Going Back To Have A Future

When I think about setting up this new “dot com” here on WordPress, I am a bit flustered.  Why? Well let’s say I have been here before, and as I get older, “having been here before” can more challenging than when my hair started becoming white with the frost of many winters. At the same time, I am feeling hopeful because I know the power of a blog and how it can go around the world in a very rapid pace. I am grateful for my son who is bringing me into the 21st Century in this particular part of the blogosphere, and I am hoping some of my http://www.achristfollower.blogspot.com folks will come journey with me over here. I also am REALLY looking forward to getting this to go live and in living HD color.

Soon, I will be writing excerpts from my new book,  Rock-Solid Living In A Quicksand Word,  because there is some really powerful stuff in it to help this good ole USA -and Western Culture- go back to have a future.  When I say “go back” I don’t mean to go back to the so called good ole days.  I am talking about going back to our nation’s original values (not to be confused with the secularists word “traditional” values.)  Those values are our original values.  “Traditional” implies something falsely believed by modernists to be of the same balance and importance as the new ones being propagated by our PC police and secularists.  Original values  or Constitutional values established the foundation on which our nation became exceptional.

Here is something to think about:  What has been called the  American dream has been distorted from those based on the original foundational story.  Originalists values begin with the Judeo-Christian principles of “we the people” being endowed by our Creator with certain “unalienable” rights. What is “unalienable?”  I am glad you asked.  “Unalienable” rights are those rights that cannot be taken away from us.  Though it seems the PC police , BIG Government Crowd, and others are really trying hard to do so.  What are those rights? The foundational ones that, as I said, are the original parts of the American Dream include “LIFE, LIBERTY, and THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS.”  These are much like the teachings of Jesus where He gives us LIFE  (John 10:10b) Liberty ( John 8:32, John 8:36 and Galatians 5:1) and Joy, which is part of the Fruit of The Holy Spirit, found in Galatians 5:22-23.  Having wealth, buying a new car and having a new home of value may be many people’s dream.  And modern versions of revisionist history have caused recent generations to use these things as “The American Dream.”  But they do not constitute the dream of  The Constitution of The United States of America.

Oh well, I hope you all get an idea about where I am going.  I hope you will follow this blog, and I hope you will recommend all your twitter feed folks and Facebook friends will come visit here for a while. I do believe, if we go back in our faith journey to the rock-solid principles of Jesus and his teachings, the Ten Commandments  or the law he fulfilled, and the Constitution, we will be well on our way to being a truly blessed people … no matter where we live on Planet Earth.

Salute!

Chaplain Mac.
