15 and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Many don’t have any idea how potent God’s word can be. It is actually life changing. As soon as it intersects you life at the earliest stages of your life, it comes alive in you if you let it.

First it makes you “wise.” Specifically God gives you the power to be wise in salvation’s ways through your relationship of walking with Jesus.

Second, God breathes it out. Now breath and spirit come from the same greek word. So, when you read it, hear it, meditate on it or memorize it, sit with it a while and allow God’s Holy Spirit to breathe it into you.

Third, the word of God is profitable. As God gives you His wisdom and breathes it on you, let it profit you spiritually, emotionally, relationally, financially and even physically. There is powerful information in this very Word of God for guidance in every area of life.

Fourth, the Word gives us God’s doctrine. It tells us what God wants you and me to know. It teaches us about what God wants you and me to be, and it guides us in what He wants us to do.

Fifth, the Word tells us there are certain things that are not good for us, and so it reproves us. Or it tells us what God wants us to stop. He doesn’t do this to spoil our fun. He reveals this wisdom to us to give us a more full, safe and healthy life.

Sixth, the Word corrects us. In other words, the Word keeps us on course in life. It corrects the journey in the best direction. God wants your life and mine to stay on course for now and eternity. The Word will chart our course through the good times, the bad, the happy and the sad. I can’t tell you how many times this has really helped me.

Seventh, the Word instructs us in the right way of living. It’s hard for the world, the flesh and especially for the devil to understand this. There is indeed a right way to live that will give us life, and their is a wrong way that will cause us to be enslaved to the bondage of sin and death. God’s Word instructs us in how to be overcomers in everyday living.

Why is it important for the person of God to intersect the Word of God like this? Good question, but Paul is clear in answering this when he says to Timothy, that God does this so that we will be thoroughly equipped to do God’s work. God’s logististics seven part supply line is perfect for giving us the stuff to be enough.

Y’all Be Blessed!

See you next time around.
